Time Has Come Today

Guilty as charged!! Juries are so predictably don’t you think. After five hours of deliberation the jury found Karen Guilty on all six charges. Sentencing will take place on October 27th, and she could face a maximum of 26 years in the big house. Guidelines allow for lesser time so she has some hope she gets out before she qualifies for Social Security.
I made a lot of well deserved fun about this trial but now that its over I have to admit that it hurt seeing one of my heroes get himself into a Marx brothers comedy like this.

You know Rick might have screwed the pooch on this one but Karen is going to get big house trained.
Time Has Come Today Karen.

Why Ticket Prices Are Going Up

I know people are wondering why ticket prices are going up with all the money we rake in. Well thanks to Thomas Beisner at KSR we now know.
Chicago SunTimes high school writer Michael O’Brien who has sources that a unnamed hometown paper writer only dreams of has come out and said Anthony Davis will commit to Kentucky and that money changes hands.
“The rumors/sources that have Davis choosing Kentucky are also alleging that the commitment cost $200,000″ are the exact words used in the article.
Don’t you just love how people will use unnamed sources in their bid to become a feature writer. Sources have confirmed that O’Brien is looking seriously at a job at The Big Timber Pioneer in Montana. With there circulation and his sources he is sure to go far in Montana. A hint Michael be sure to do a story on the MILITIA OF MONTANA and be sure to use unnamed sources.
Day 8 Jury Deliberating

The day started with a shock as the defense rested its case. Why go to all the trouble of going to trial and facing more time than you would if you just pleaded guilty.
We all know Karen wanted to get Rick’s balls as she so eloquently stated when she was heard to mumble “rack em” in the court room. Instead her blowing bubbles defense wasn’t even brought into play.
I’ve been racking my brains for a while trying to figure out whats going on and have narrowed it down to a number of things.
1. She realized she was done and plans on asking for a meeting with the judge to throw herself on the courts mercy.
2. Her lawyer thinks an appeal will get the case over turned because of the shoddy way the Louisville police handled the rape investigation.
3. Shes been blowing her lawyer and he has become as stupid as the other men involved in this trial.
4. The surprise witness who was supposed to testify for her can’t be found. He was last seen driving towards the river in a 4 by 4 being closely followed by someone.

Truthfully I have no idea why the defense is doing this. Its been obvious through the whole trial that Karen is guilty and isn’t racked tight enough.
Both the Government and the defense have finished and the jury is now deliberating and a verdict could come as soon as today.
You can read a summary of the closing statements at Fox 41′s website.
The defense won this in my view but thats just because I have a soft spot for puppys sick or not.
Day 7 Specter Haunts Trial

Karens video with the Louisville police probably iced the cake for the Government as far as showing she is a looney tune.
It did raise a couple of minor points that the defense should bring up to cast doubt on the Governments case. Sgt. Abbott testified that he was told by his superiors to handle the case himself and that he didn’t record Pitino’s interview. When asked if this case was handled like any other ordinary case. Sgt. Abbott said that, “as much as we would like for it to be, it is what it is.” Abbott said he did not interview Tim Sypher, restaurant owner Tim Coury, or Pitino aide Vinny Tatum, all key figures in her claims.

The failure to do this in a high profile case brings up the specter of a cover up but since the feds filed the charges not the state how it will reflect on the charges a layman like me has no idea.
Day 6 Containing The Blowout

Day 6 of the Karen Sypher trial is under way. Three of the pictures that the Government introduced in the trial have managed to surface on the internet today. You can see them on Deadspin.com. I was going to post them here but our server has better taste than Karen.
The day 6 testimony consisted of a string of men who were bewitched by Karen Sypher and answered questions about their affairs with her.
Dana Kolter, he with the scarlet A on his forehead was cross examined by the defense and showed remorse. Kolter said he tried to get her to a psychologist because he thought “her eggs were scrambled.” Kolter said his client and part-time lover appeared to be under the control of someone else. Kolter then alluded to the case of Jaycee Dugard, a California girl kidnapped nearly two decades ago, but recovered last year after allegedly being held in the back yard of a sex offender. His judgment of peoples character seems to be lacking if he is going to compare a real victim to a scrambled egg porn queen.
Former lover Tyree Fields is a question mark that the NCAA might look at considering the whole lets pass Karen around plot.
Keith Randall Wise a two time loser in marriage to Karen had the line of the day. Saying Karen told him “If I’m going down, I am going to take Pitino with me”. There was probably no doubt in him mind at the time she said it that Karen was going to go down, just not with who.
The final three witnesses had to do with Karens visits to the police to file rape charges. Their testimony pretty much confirms what we already know, that Karen Sypher is mentally impaired when it comes to clear thinking.
The Government is going to wrap up tomorrow then we find out if MsHoover is going to testify.

There is more news coming out of the newsroom today. A unnamed print reporter said that he had a scoop and was last seen rushing off to have it printed. Others reporters laughed and said that there was absolutely no truth that BP engineers were seen arriving at the trial in a new 4 by 4 to study how Karen contained Ricks 15 second blowout so quickly.
